Events I wish I could go to: AngloHaskell 2007
July 13th, 2007 by Bryan O'Sullivan
Don, John and I are on the other side of the world from this, but it promises to be a lot of fun: AngloHaskell 2007, to be held in Cambridge on August 10 and 11.
It looks like essentially an unconference after the style of Foo Camp / Bar Camp, only with the schedule of talks mostly prearranged in #anglohaskell on IRC. Many British and mainland European Haskellers will hopefully be there, which should make it a vibrant event. If you go, please blog about it afterwards so those of us who can’t make it can at least have a vicarious taste.
Like you, I’m pretty jealous. Doubly frustrating because it’s back at my home university. Does anything interesting in the Haskell world happen on the West Coast?
Yes, it should be good
I promise to blog up what happens.
Dan: We can make something fun happen if we want to. We have a handful of Haskellers in the Bay Area, and a bunch up in Oregon, and even a few in Southern California.
Someone posted something to haskell-cafe about a Bay Area meetup recently but it didn’t seem to go anywhere. I guess we could just pick a date and time and see if anyone turns up.
I’d go to an SF meeting…
